Enterprises power agentic workflows in Cloudflare Agent Cloud with OpenAI
Key Takeaways:
- Millions of enterprises can now access OpenAI frontier models directly within Cloudflare Agent Cloud.
- With OpenAI, enterprises using Cloudflare’s Agent Cloud can deploy agents powered by models like GPT‑5.4 to perform real work.
- Enterprises can now deploy agents built on Codex harness to Cloudflare.
Cloudflare is expanding access to OpenAI frontier models, including GPT‑5.4, making them available to millions of customers across Agent Cloud. Agent Cloud is a platform that enables businesses to deploy AI agents powered by OpenAI models to perform real work. For example, companies can use it with OpenAI to deploy agents that automatically handle tasks like responding to customers, updating systems, and generating reports - all within a secure, production-ready environment.
Agent Cloud runs on top of Cloudflare Workers AI(opens in a new window), the company’s platform for running AI models at the edge, making it easy for enterprises to build and deploy AI applications and agents that deliver fast, real-time experiences at global scale.
"By bringing OpenAI’s powerful models directly into the Cloudflare environment, we are collapsing the distance between intelligence and the end user. This allows developers to build sophisticated, AI-driven applications and agents that aren't just smart, but are lightning-fast and globally scalable by default. Whether it’s using Codex to streamline development workflows or deploying AI applications and agents at scale, we’re proud to provide the infrastructure that makes the next generation AI-native stack possible," said Dane Knecht, chief technology officer at Cloudflare.
The expansion of OpenAI within Agent Cloud builds on Cloudflare’s broader push to bring the most-advanced AI capabilities, including tools like Codex, to enterprises. The Codex harness is now generally available in Cloudflare Sandboxes, a secure virtual environment where developers can build, run, and test their AI applications. It will also be available in Workers AI in the near future.
“Cloud agents are quickly becoming a foundational building block for how work gets done, and with Cloudflare, we’re making it dramatically easier for developers to deploy, production-ready agents powered by GPT‑5.4 and Codex to run real enterprise workloads at scale,” said Rohan Varma, product, Codex, at OpenAI.
